The SAP Technical Education Conference, better known as SAP TechEd, is SAP’s premier tech conference. SAP customers, employees, and other interested third parties attend the conference to discover how to apply, manage and optimize technical solutions. While the first two events were held earlier this year in Las Vegas (October 2-5) and Barcelona (October 23-25), the third installation of this year’s series will be held in Bangalore (November 28-30) with top industry partners as exhibitors, including Microsoft, CyberSafe, and Google.

SAP Security Research was selected to present its research on data anonymization which was done as part of the PANORAMÌX project. The lectures elaborate upon the problems of previous anonymization methods and how a new method, differential privacy, can handle them and can be used in real-world scenarios to enable privacy-preserving data collection and statistics.
