12 June 2018 | 13:00-16:30 | Appleton Tower (Room 8.02), University of Edinburgh

Purpose of the roundtable

This roundtable/workshop aims to bring together colleagues who have an interest in democratic participation, such as participatory budgeting and other forms of citizen engagement, with colleagues who are working on technical aspects of online voting including security, identity management and blockchain/distributed ledger.  The aim is to start a dialogue about the possibility of working collaboratively to develop a use case for online voting and on the development of an online voting POC/pilot that uses distributed ledger technology.
